This is the first, and possibly the most important message that I ever write. One of the statements that I have repeated a couple of times to those that I have spoken to about open positions, or after people have started, is that I wanted people to be here at Vitra that would understand what I wanted to build, and would never let me forget that vision. People that would hold me fully accountable to all of that for as long as we can keep this dream alive and growing. And I have repeated that so often for a reason. A long time ago, I was inspired by an executive that I truly believed was passionate about all the same things that I was, but most importantly - home. What I later saw and found, was that like so many people, that spark tends to fade over time. Little bits of self are traded in for something else, and with that, bits of the team and residents are sacrificed.
