Gretta Dare

With over 17 years of experience in the property management industry, Gretta Dare has focused on multiple areas of property management, and has been lucky enough to work for some of the best companies in  student and conventional housing. She got her start with Equity Residential & Aimco before moving to the American Campus Communities to kick off her experience on the student side.

Currently, as the CEO and COO of Vitra Housing, Gretta drives the company’s strategic vision, ensuring that each property under management delivers exceptional value and innovative living experiences tailored to the modern student and professional.

Before founding Vitra Housing, Gretta served as the Managing Director of a small Student Housing Firm, and prior to that,  President of a national property management startup. There she led the successful in-house management of over 20 properties within the first year. This achievement underscored her ability to scale operations and deliver high-quality management services across diverse markets.

Gretta’s career is marked by her role as President at SH Central, where she has directly assisted in the the development & design of a cutting-edge student housing reporting platform.  Additionally, Gretta continues to lead Fetch Marketing and Real Estate, offering comprehensive marketing, leasing, and operational consultation to property management companies nationwide.

Her industry insights are further shared through her co-host & creating role at Student Housing Insight, a leading source for all things student housing.

When not focused on property management, data, software or creating something new in general, Gretta is back home with her family again in Indiana and enjoying spending time with them as much as possible.
